In an exclusive interview with the nation’s premier faith-based and professional newspaper for winners, Anointed News Journal, Nicky Cuesta explains her passion for developing entrepreneurs.

Who is Nicky Cuesta?

Nicky Cuesta is all about leadership and is on a mission to build leaders globally with her podcast, her Empower to Inspire tour, and her coaching program and everything is under B.A.L.M. Global.
Collins II:
What is B.A.L.M Global, and can you describe its tiers?
Cuesta:
Sure. B.A.L.M. Global stands for Building a Leadership Mindset. It started as a YouTube channel title, leading to my first book and the name of my podcast. Initially, it was just about giving helpful tips on leadership and mindset in all areas of life. After two years of inactivity, it evolved into the book and podcast through my involvement in the entrepreneurial and networking space. In 2023, we rebranded to B.A.L.M. Global, aiming to build leaders globally.
We have the Empower to Inspire community and the Ladies of Leadership community. Our Create Success coaching program has two tiers: the first is resource-based, providing all the information I’ve learned to become an unstoppable entrepreneur. The second tier is more hands-on, helping you through the process with a do-it-with-you model. We also host online and live events.

What is Ladies of Leadership?
Cuesta:
Ladies of Leadership is a community of women we empower. It’s a sisterhood we created in November 2022. It allows women, whether business owners or not, to come into this space, be vulnerable, share their expertise and goals. We provide a platform for exposure in all industries through the podcast and events, giving them stages and tools to be successful entrepreneurs and assert their presence in every area of their lives.
I started it because I read an article that only 41 women hold CEO positions in Fortune 500 companies, which was shocking to me. So, I wanted to change that visual. That’s why Ladies of Leadership was created, to help women become more confident in themselves and their work.
Collins II:
And what type of journey got you into entrepreneurship? You had a regular 9-to-5 and maybe you weren’t as confident at one point. Can you tell us about that transition?
Cuesta:
I worked at age 23, for 14 years in a healthcare company, building my mindset about living a life of desire and making things happen. Despite my knowledge and expertise, I felt held back and undervalued. I enjoyed building people up and motivating them, believing there’s more to life than working for someone else.
In 2020, during the difficult time of COVID, I decided to take a chance on faith. When God sat me down and said, “If not now, when?” I knew it was time for a change. I turned in my resignation letter and never looked back, creating my own path. That’s how my journey into entrepreneurship started.
Collins II:
What words of encouragement would you have for someone who’s struggling in life or pursuing their dreams but running out of steam?
Cuesta:
I would say that if you have a desire or a divine download, you should walk in your purpose, whatever that looks like. We may not initially know, but it’s important to find those answers for ourselves so we can live a purposeful life. Many are waiting to hear our stories and need our services. If you have even a small thought that you’re worthy of more, you need to follow that path, search for those answers, and make your envisioned life a reality. But you can only do that if you take action.
Collins II:
I like that you said “divine download.” I feel like I need to start using that. That was a good one.
Cuesta:
Always.

Yes, so what’s next for Nicky Cuesta?
Cuesta:
Nicky Cuesta has decided to take her Empower to Inspire event on tour for the next three years. My goal is to hit all 50 states to show how to maximize personal development events, masterminds, and community groups to amplify hopes and dreams.

Wow. That’s awesome. You’re available for coaching and you have these communities. What’s your contact info? Can you give us all your handles, websites?
Cuesta:
Absolutely. The website is www.buildingaleadershipmindset.com. For our community group, Empower to Inspire, and for all the ladies, they get a bonus community, Ladies of Leadership. So instead of two separate memberships, we have one, but the ladies get a bonus because I love them.

Cuesta:
I have one main book, Building a Leadership Mindset: 13 Mindsets to Give Yourself Permission to Succeed. I also have anthologies I’m part of, including Warrior Women: Turning Life Lessons into Legacies, Spiritual Fitness Survivor, Born to Risk, and Voices of Leadership. I have my own anthology, Broken and Shattered to Knowing I Mattered, and I’m looking for authors for that. There are a few more too. It’s been a crazy but amazing time.

Yeah, you’ve been getting it done! So in a final word, what would you like to say to the readers of the Anointed News Journal?
Cuesta:
Make every moment count. I end my podcast with my signature closing: “Have a great day and make it count.” I don’t know if that fully answers your question, but it’s really my signature message.
