Camden, NJ Windows of Hope (WOH) is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and women in Uganda through a range of impactful programs and initiatives. Recently, WOH hosted the Pearl of Africa Marketplace at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Camden, New Jersey. This vibrant event celebrated African culture, showcasing unique products from African and African American vendors, complemented by live musical performances. Beyond a cultural celebration, the marketplace served as a vital fundraising effort, supporting Windows of Hope International Children’s Ministry in its mission to uplift disadvantaged communities in Uganda. Child Sponsorship: A Lifeline for Orphans
At the heart of WOH’s mission is the Child Sponsorship Program, which addresses the educational, physical, spiritual, and social needs of orphans and underprivileged children. Ministry to Women: Empowering Young Women
The Kalaya School on Ssese Island focuses on empowering young women through vocational training in essential skills such as computer literacy, sewing, hairdressing, bookkeeping, and marketing. This initiative not only equips women with practical skills but also provides counseling and education for those who have experienced abuse, trauma, or violence, fostering resilience and independence.
Love Houses: A Safe Haven for Children
In response to the challenges faced by children affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS, and conflict, Windows of Hope has opened Love Houses in Masaka. These homes provide a nurturing environment for orphaned and needy children, offering food, clothing, shelter, health care, and educational support. By creating a loving family atmosphere, WOH enhances the quality of life for Uganda’s most vulnerable children.
